NEW YORK — U.S. elected officials are calling on Congress to stop Social Security payments to former Nazis.
Rep. Carolyn Maloney told a news conference Sunday that Congress must close a loophole that allows tax funds to go toward those involved in the persecution of Jews.
Maloney and Rep. Leonard Lance have introduced a bill that would terminate the benefits.
A report by The Associated Press revealed that millions of dollars are being paid to suspected Nazi war criminals after they were expelled from the United States.
Maloney and Lance say a federal judge should decide whether a person had participated in Nazi activities.
The bill is to be introduced in Congress next month.
Maloney says taxpayers should not subsidize those guilty of the some of the worst atrocities in human history. ..Source.. by The Republic

Does the tax payer have any idea what their children are being taught when it comes to war history and the crimes within . "No" . That money is lost and will be lost for ever. It was the deaths and mass murders of humans for the sake of power and total control . The crime is all that money was sent out of the country, why did'nt Washington DC pick up on this . New York ?
ReplyDeleteThe victims doctor's license should be yanked . As an obsevation has anyone heard kids speak lately . How can that be admisable and with a price tag in a court of law, and what kind of youth now an adult would allow this to continue . 1.8 million maybe ?
ReplyDeleteAny living former Nazi under the age of 88 would have been 19 years old or under in 1945 when the Nazi regime collapsed and it is doubtful that these teenagers could have had any orchestrating role in the atrocities committed back then. They certainly should not be held responsible for atrocities they may have engaged in under the direction of their perverse leaders and should not be held accountable for having Nazi beliefs in that toxic culture. Between 1940 and 1945 most would ave been in high school.
ReplyDeleteThere are only a handful of surviving Nazis who would been over 21 in 1945 and only one or two living who would have been old enough to have had a leadership role back then. Within a year or two they will be dead. The only surviving Nazis left will be those who were in swaddling clothes during the 1940's and who have spent their whole lives hiding from a stigma that they never deserved.
The charge of ex-Nazi war criminals receiving millions of U.S. dollars in social security while living comfortably abroad should not survive a moment's credulity. Those who were Nazi's when in tender years, who worked in the United States as solid citizens after the war should be considered redeemed and have earned and deserve every penny of their pension. What they do not deserve is an opportunistic politician like Carol Maloney profiting from the worst kind of political opportunism, capitalizing by generating public outrage and hate against another group. Ironically, that is what the Nazi regime itself did.
The travesty of Congress' solemn oath to end this public outrage at the very moment when the last Nazi monsters are at death's door and the issue is moot underscores the cynicism and fecklessness of lawmakers who will only undertake a political initiative against those with the least power or when the results no longer matter.
