On Monday, the FBI announced the results of its most recent nationwide child prostitution sweep, Operation Cross Country. Here are the main numbers: Last week, in 106 U.S. cities, the FBI and local law enforcement recovered 168 juvenile sex-trafficking victims and arrested 281 alleged pimps, the bureau said. Over the course of the eight child prostitution stings since 2003, the FBI added, about 3,600 sexually exploited minors have been rescued, 1,450 people convicted, and more than $3 million in assets seized.
"These are not children living in some faraway place, far from everyday life," said FBI Director James Comey. "These are our children. On our streets. Our truck stops. Our motels. These are America's children." They were found in these 106 cities (See pic).
I have too presume that the funding was in place for these rescues on the streets of the 106 cities and towns in the United States . Who and where did the funding come from, or was it redirected from the failed DEA project of the past 46 years now under fire . None the less it's long past the time for actions of the courts , and the acclaimed plea deals that America and its children, juveniles and minors now look up to lawyers and advocates than parents for their saviour .
ReplyDeleteThe parents should not get off the hook so easy . An intence investigation of school records and parental stability will not be excepted as an oh well and they will face charges of child abandanment and endangerment to a minor before the fact .
Never in any police raid, take down or sting has the money not been intensified to praise the law inforcements efforts, also with the props of the reading glass's for a more inocent look of confidence of a child, juvenile, or minor . The more importent were all the under age prostitutes female , because FBI James Comey's numbers would have to be more defined .
When you think about it the laws are backwards -- If a child, minor or juvenile feared a parent in being raised and challenged them, why were they affraid of the pimps or run scream or fight back . Mr, Comey is correct this not a far away place ths is America WHAT HAPPEND ?
The FBI loves to pad their stats. By using the term "child prostitutes" and using a logo depicting the silhouette of a young child with pigtails, the logo is intended to invoke in our minds the thought of toddlers being sold for sex. Instead, pretty much every recovered person (a very small number on a nation of 320 million) who are "rescued" are older teens, like the gal in the YouTube video. 17 is not a "child" and in most states can consent to sex.
ReplyDeleteThe war on sex "trafficking" (READ: Prostitution) is the same strategy as our failed war on drugs-- go after the "Johns" and we'll win the war, just like focusing on the low-end pusher and user won the war on drugs. Only this time, the prostitutes are now "sex trafficking victims," even if the victim joined voluntarily. The FBI is full of it.
